Like Riding A Bicycle
Mar. 10th, 2019 11:25 pmDoes anyone remember the gray-and-black stripes fad (?) of the mid-2000s? I lived through it, and never quite got into it, due to the whole "parents paranoid about anything that looks quote-unquote "unwholesome"" thing (eyeroll of disappointing memories). So, as an adult who only wore black for high school technical theater prop crew and school dances during adolescence*, I am going to be knitting my very own gray-and-black striped scarf.
I learned how to knit on my own, way back in fourth grade, and then had to take a break to learn crochet, and then had to take a break from a lot more after kiddo was born. Picking it back up felt like old times, and was like riding a bicycle.
*This is moderately hyperbolic; I had a few black clothes and accessories, but that's mostly it.
