Taking Notes, Taking Shape

I just set up an appointment with a new counselor in the new city we've moved to; I was actually able to get an appointment for this week. Not necessarily excited about driving in the early morning, but it's better than going without. I... don't want to say that the hardest part is over, because a) the "hardest part" is different for everyone, and b) self-improvement is full of hard parts, regardless of who you are.
I'm slowly starting to notice that the move has been good for us, in certain ways. We have stairs now, and it has put in sharp relief how easily-winded I was before we moved. It took a few months, but I can go up the stairs without having to regulate my breathing as much as I used to. I also can put away a few more of my post-partum clothes until the next time I'm post-partumin theory anyway o_0 .
I've also noticed that I've been channeling my creative energy into gratuitous baking of cookies, muffins, and biscuits because I haven't really had time to sit down and write for myself. it's deeply stifling to only be able to put a few sentences down in a word doc on the phone instead of hiding away in a corner for several hours like I used to do before having a kid. C'est la vie, and that is why Time Management Is A Thing.
In other news, we're almost done unpacking day-to-day stuff!
